KCorey Coleman

Facilities Operations Manager

For KCorey, every day of life is about relationships and connection, both with others and with himself. He’s the first face you’ll see when you visit us: he’ll greet you with a friendly smile and, as he says, will make sure that you’re all set. He brings his natural drive and desire to connect and make an impact on those around him to every interaction, both inside the Foundation and within his personal life.

KCorey came to the Foundation in September 2018 from Kaiser, where he worked behind the scenes on coding and configuration. That back-end role wasn’t quite suited to him, so he made an intentional career change when he came to the Foundation. Now he is able to connect with our staff, partners, grantees and visitors every day. His philosophy is that life always seems to be about the relationships we build and the people we can impact and affect – and in his role as our visitor and IT coordinator, he’s able to bring his natural affinity for connection to the forefront.

He says, “Our mission is to ensure that people in the state have a better way of life. It’s about people and community. You can’t miss with that, and I want to be a part of that. If we can help them and affect their lives positively, it doesn’t get any better.”

Originally from Michigan, KCorey moved here from Chicago about 14 years ago. He describes himself as a city boy at heart and fills his Denver days with mindful activities, from art to books to great conversations. He believes that the most powerful tool we have is our minds, and that stillness and the ability to recharge is essential. For him, that might be some time alone with a great book and (maybe) a fresh chocolate chip cookie.

KCorey loves being outside in the sunshine in Colorado, and balances that out with a love for cerebral movies and playing his guitar. At the end of the day, KCorey is focused on creating mindfulness in his life so that he can balance and tap into his own energy – and then spread that energy and connection back out into the world.

“Our mission is to ensure that people in the state have a better way of life. It’s about people and community. If we can help them and affect their lives positively, it doesn’t get any better.”
